UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO - JANSSEN ENGINEERING BUILDING STUDENT SERVICES
Design West renovated an existing 2,360 square feet to bring all counseling staff into one suite to better help the students of this college. The renovation is located directly across the hallway from the Think Tank project, previously designed by DWA, and together creates a central location inside the building for all the students to work, study, and seek university help for all their needs. This central area of the building is easily accessed from the coffee shop and large lecture hall classroom (also designed by DWA). The counseling center renovation includes custom ‘I’ casework and creates a relaxed, professional environment for students and staff. This project also included interior renovation and conversion of existing classrooms and offices into a new flexible classroom, conference room, gathering and study spaces, and a newly renovated Dean’s office suite.
