Ned had the good fortune to grow up in the inland Northwest and really never left (at least not for long). His love of architecture is rooted in the idea that design is a way of solving people's problems in an environmental context. If we do our job well, we will leave the planet just a bit better than when we got it. He is at his best when he can lead a design and owner team toward the common goal of realizing a project; ideally, a public project that helps to build strong communities. Outside of work, he loves to travel, cook, and eat - not to say that he is any good at any of these things - but everyone needs a hobby.
