APPLE VALLEY & SUMMITVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
West Valley School District contacted DWA to rebuild two aging elementary schools. The schools were strategically built at the same time and designed to fit on the existing school sites. Each facility is 65,000 square feet and can house approximately 550 students. The schools are zoned for after-hours use for performances and athletic events, without public access to the entire school. The facilities utilize natural daylight to save energy and improve the indoor environment, support an enriching learning experience, and will accommodate the community’s future growth.

“I have had the opportunity to work with Design West most recently on design and constructability to replace Apple Valley Elementary School and Summitview Elementary School at their existing sites. I commend Design West for the ability to work collaboratively with our team on the preliminary design of the two schools. They have been available to respond to many questions and provide detailed answers. Design West has not only responded to needs brought forward from our district, but has developed a great deal of trust, which will go along way toward future successful bond efforts for the district. ”
