COLUMBIA RIVER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The school is a combination of a one and two-story building with over 72,000 square feet that can accommodate 730 students. Spaces are thoughtfully articulated and sensitive to the use and scale of occupants. Accessibility, ADA compliance, ease of travel, and way findings were implemented in the design throughout the entire facility. Enhanced building security provides ample monitoring for interior and exterior surveillance with security systems and space adjacencies. The layout also includes second and third-floor central mechanical mezzanines for ease of access to mechanical and electrical equipment minimizing disruption to the classroom learning environment.
