RIDGE VIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The original Ridge View Elementary was demolished and replaced on the same property with a new two-story school building totaling 62,000 square feet. The design incorporates 30 classrooms and has the capacity for approximately 600 students with room for future growth. Natural daylight was integrated to save energy and improve the indoor environment for both students and staff. The materials selected are durable and economical, including CMU veneer, metal wall panels, and glazing with sun-shading devices. Acoustics throughout the building were considered to minimize sound reverberation, especially in areas of increased circulation and activity. Additional design features include a third-level mechanical mezzanine to minimize classroom disruption and building zoning for after-hours events to limit public access to the entire school.
