DAVENPORT SCHOOLS ADDITION & RENOVATION
Davenport Elementary was overcrowded and the middle school students had no home as they attended classes at both the elementary and high school two blocks away. The 23,700-square-foot addition created new spaces for grades 6-8 including new high‐performance classrooms, flexible science classroom, commons, gym, locker rooms, expanded library/media center. The existing school of 37,700 square feet, received a comprehensive modernization and reorganization to maximize K‐5 instructional space. The existing congested parking/parent drop/school bus lanes were expanded and reconfigured to greatly enhance safety, parking efficiency, and wayfinding. The school also received a new all‐weather track as part of the bond package.
