THOMAS HAMMER TENANT IMPROVEMENT
This project included a complete interior renovation and exterior facelift of a vacant building in downtown Pullman, WA. The client wished that the project follow the corporate look of other coffee shops in their chain. The aesthetic effect was an exciting, comfortable, contemporary look that encouraged clientele to linger over their coffee. Design challenges included the structural bracing required for large window and door openings in the exterior wall. These openings give pedestrians direct access to the adjacent city plaza.
Owner: Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters
Locations: Pullman, WA
Scope: Renovation
“Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters approached Design West with the challenge of renovating a very dilapidated building into a modern coffee house. As a small business, we desire and enjoy one-on-one contact, which was graciously extended, as well as an ease of communication that expedited the project. Design West was able to stay on budget and deliver complete drawings that helped control our construction cost as well.”
