SUMMITVUE MIDDLE SCHOOL

This school is a two-story building that holds 1,400 students at approximately 181,200 square feet. Purple accents throughout the facility create contrast with the gray tones and carry the school’s color scheme through different areas of the building. The campus features a media center, an auditorium that seats 600 people, two indoor basketball courts, a competition-level football stadium, six tennis courts, and a track. The core of the school includes classrooms at a standard size of 963 square feet, an enlarged cafeteria, a large STEM classroom, additional specialist offices with corresponding teaching spaces, increased security, and improved access to public spaces.

Owner: Vallivue School District
Location: Caldwell, ID
Scope: New Building

Certainly one of the strengths that I have found with Design West is the people who work there. The architects and support staff are top-notch, not only in their design work, but also in the way that they work with our school district. They seek input from all of our employees and work well with district office personnel, principals, technology staff, teachers, maintenance and custodial staff, food service personnel, and the Board of Trustees.
