MOSCOW INTERMODAL TRANSIT CENTER

The Moscow Intermodal Transit Center houses multiple local and regional transit tenants and provides a convenient central operating location. The design focuses the public space toward the street with the main service lobby adjacent and visually connects the loading platforms and public plaza space. The lobby is ringed by passenger service counters and facilities, providing an easily understood orientation for visitors. The standing seam metal roof, brick masonry, and exposed heavy timber wood materials are durable and fit with the existing community context while glass, metal, and translucent panels set the building apart.
