PULLMAN FIRE STATION #1 MODIFICATIONS

DWA performed a structural and logistical analysis for modifying two existing fire stations to allow access for a new ladder/pumper truck. The sites were measured, photographed, and analyzed for structural and functional modification to accommodate the new truck, and consideration was also given to accommodate new trucks and equipment needed in the foreseeable future. The City determined that modifying one station was in the best interest of the department and more centrally located to serve the community. Construction documents were completed and construction began on raising two center apparatus bay doors to accommodate the new truck and new power-operated, insulated metal doors were installed.
